The Port of Shelton has hired SH&H Valuation and Consulting out of Tacoma to find out the value of Oakland Bay Marina. The Port Commissioners directed staff to hire an appraiser after holding a series of public forums on the future of the Shelton marina.

One of the options being considered by the Port is selling Oakland Bay Marina and to help the Commissioners determine if that is a viable option, they need to know its value.

The Port Executive Director, Wendy Smith, told the Port Commissioners Tuesday, the firm is expected to visit the marina in the coming weeks. Cost of the appraisal is $6,500.
