Five Die in Cabin Explosion near Brinnon
Five people died when a rental cabin in Brinnon exploded early Sunday morning. According to a news release, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies and fire personnel responded a report of a house fire in the 600 block of Salmon Street about 1 AM. Neighbors reported hearing an explosion, told dispatchers the hillside was on fire, and a house on the property, a small cabin, was gone.
During the initial suppression effort, firefighters located two bodies in the remnants of the cabin.
