High School Sports Results from 11/28/22

The high school basketball season got underway Monday as the Shelton girls lost at Capital 53 to 35. The Lady Highclimbers stayed close to the Cougars in the first half and were down 29-23 at the break. However, Capital held Shelton to five points in the third quarter while scoring 17 to pull away. Dydemus “Sister” Cordova led the Highclimbers in the loss with 12 points while Olivia Henry chipped in 11. The Lady-‘Climbers play again Tuesday at Olympic.

There is a full schedule of basketball games on Tuesday, November 29, 2022:
The Mary M. Knight girls and boys play at Three Rivers Christian. The girls tip off at 5:30 PM. The boys start at 7 PM.
The North Mason teams play East Jefferson. The boys on the road at Port Townsend. The girls are at home in Belfair. Both games tip off a 7 PM.
The Shelton boys open the season against Olympic on Terry Gregg Court in the Shelton High School Mini Dome. The Lady Highclimbers play the Trojans in Silverdale. Both games tip off at 7 PM.

You can watch many Shelton and North Mason basketball games on the subscription-based NFHS Network. Some Mary M. Knight games can also be found on the NFHS Network but their home games are available on MMK Athletic Director Tom Kerr’s YouTube channel.

Also on the high school sports schedule for Tuesday, November 29, 2022:
The North Mason bowling team plays Bremerton at 2:45 PM Tuesday at Hi-Joy Bowl in Port Orchard.
The Shelton bowling team hosts W.F. West at 3 PM Tuesday at Westside Lanes in Olympia.

MasonWebTV Powered by HCC will be broadcasting several basketball games this season free of charge. We hope to start with Saturday’s Shelton at North Mason girls’ game. The game in Belfair tips off at 7 PM.
