The Mason County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the driver of the truck that rolled over in the Kamilche area early Tuesday morning that left a Shelton man critically injured. According to a news release, the rollover occurred in the 4900 Block of SE Bloomfield Road at about 1:55 AM. Deputies say a white 2000 Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling northwest on the Bloomfield Road when it left the roadway to the right, struck an embankment, rolled over and struck a large rock, eventually coming to rest on its top. Deputies say the 21-year-old passenger was ejected and the driver fled the scene. The unidentified Shelton man was airlifted Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he is in critical condition. Investigators say speed and alcohol were factors in the collision and neither occupant was wearing a seat belt. Deputies have identified a person of interest as the driver of the truck and ask anyone with information to call the Mason County Sheriff’s Office at (360) 427-9670 Ext. 313 or 9-1-1.
