The Shelton baseball team held off Centralia Tuesday 5 to 3.

The Tigers scored the game’s first run in the top of the third inning but the Highclimbers responded with two runs in the bottom of the third and added another run in the bottom of the fourth to lead 3 to 1. Centralia tied the game at 3 in the top of the fifth before Shelton took back the lead with two runs in the bottom of the sixth.
Carl Turnbow led the Highclimbers going 2 for 2 at the plate with a double, two RBI, and two stolen bases. Boston Madison hit an RBI triple. Zane Scott batted in a run. And Gunnar Jensen had a double while pitching five innings allowing three run on three hits with seven strikeouts and two walks.
Shelton improved to 4-and-6 on the season, 3-and-2 in the Evergreen Conference. The Highclimbers play at Centralia Wednesday.
Boston Stanley led the North Mason baseball team to an 8 to 0 win over Kingston Tuesday. Stanley was 2 for 3 at the plate with a home run and three RBI. He also pitched seven innings allowing three hits with seven strikeouts and two walks. Calvin Rice hit a two-run double. And Dylan Prideaux batted in a run for the Bulldogs. NM improved to 7-and-4 on the season, 3-and-4 in the Olympic League. North Mason plays at Kingston Wednesday.
The Mary M. Knight baseball team lost at Lake Quinault Tuesday 22 to 6. The Owls are now 1-and-7 on the season. MMK hosts Wishkah Valley next Tuesday.
The Shelton boys’ soccer team lost at Centralia Tuesday 2 to 0. The Highclimbers drop to 2-and-5 on the season, 0-and-4 in the Evergreen Conference. The ‘Climbers play at Black Hills Saturday.
The North Mason boys’ soccer team lost at Port Angeles Tuesday 4 to 1. The Bulldogs are now 1-and-8 on the season, 1-and-6 in the Olympic League. NM travels to Olympic Friday.
The North Mason girls’ tennis team lost to Olympic 4 to 3 Tuesday. Individual results were not available. The Bulldogs host Sequim Wednesday.
The Shelton track and field teams competed in an Evergreen Conference meet Tuesday at Tumwater District Stadium.

Bennet Henry won the boys’ javelin.
Oscar Castellanos finished 2nd in the boys’ triple jump.
Quinn Neal took 2nd in the girls’ high jump.
Addison Aldrich was 2nd in the girls’ 400 meters.
Hailey Nadeau placed 3rd in the girls’ 800 meters and 1600 meters.
Claire Warnock took 3rd in the girls’ 100-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles.
Nathan Vogel was 3rd in the boys’ 400 meters.
Justice Bloomfield took 3rd in the boys’ 300-meter hurdles.
Shelton hosts Black Hills and Centralia Wednesday, April 23rd.
