Loss for SHS Football

The Shelton football team ended the 2025 season Friday with a 38 to 7 loss to Kelso.

The Hilanders controlled the game from the start building a 38-0 lead in the first half.
Masyn Gard scored the Highclimbers’ only touchdown late in the game.

Quarterback Ryan Brady threw a short pass to Bennett Henry who then lateralled the ball to Gard. The senior offensive lineman (plays tackle) ran 17 yards for the score. A.J. Weir kicked the point after with 3:22 left in the game.

Shelton finished the season 3-and-6 overall, 1-and-4 in the 3A Greater St. Helens League.


In case you missed it, the North Mason football team beat Sequim Thursday 37 to 23. The Bulldogs improved to 7-and-2 on the season, third in the Olympic League at a 4-and-2. NM is headed to the post season next week. Opponent has not yet been set.
