On Saturday, May 14th, Central Mason Fire & EMS (CMFE) and the City of Shelton will be partnering to conduct live fire training at 218 S. 5th Street. The training will begin at 9 AM. The height of fire activity will be between 12 PM and 2:30 PM.

According to a news release, this gives CMFE firefighters the opportunity to train on fire operations and fire attack in a real-life scenario. The burn also helps reduce costs of demolition for the City as it owns the house which is just east of the Shelton Civic Center.

During the training burn, South 5th Street between Grove and Cota streets will be closed to traffic and pedstrians.
