The Mason County Commission unanimously agreed Tuesday to offer the position of Community Services Director to David Windom who is currently Administrator of the Northeast Tri County Health District which serves Ferry, Pend Oreille and Stevens Counties. Commissioner Terri Jeffreys explained some of Windom’s experience:

Earlier this year, the County combined the Department of Community Development and Public Health into one department. If Windom accepts the position, he would over see the newly formered department believed to be the first of its kind. According to Bill Kenny, Director of Support Services, this just authorizes him to make an offer. Separate action will be needed to appoint Mr. Windom.
