A Belfair chiropractor is holding a Christmas food drive called a “FOOD BOMB”. Dr. Brian Petersen of Petersen Chiropractic coined the term after a political fundraiser known as “Money Bomb” which is a short and intense drive to raise a bundle of funds for a political candidate.
Petersen’s “FOOD BOMB” is a two-week drive to collect food and funds for the local food bank. The effort runs through Wednesday December 21, just in time to deliver Christmas meals for those hundreds of local families in need.
“There is a tremendous need in our community. We assist with the community giving tree program too and every year it just breaks my heart to see the number of families in need. “ Said Dr. Petersen. “ I’m hoping people really get behind this effort and help us make a difference.” He added.
As an additional incentive, Dr. Petersen is offering free x-rays for anyone in need who donates a bag of groceries or $25 to the donation jar.
“Philanthropy is important to us. This is just another way to help; another way to make a difference. “ said Jacquie Petersen, Dr. Brian’s wife and the office manager of Petersen Chiropractic.
The office is located next to QFC in Belfair.
