Olympic Mountain Rescue and the Mason County Sheriff’s Office suspended a search Wednesday afternoon for a missing hiker near Mount Skokomish. The search for 20-year-old Zach Krull began Wednesday morning after his father, Steven Krull, told authorities Tuesday his son had not returned from a weekend of camping and hiking.

Zach was due back Monday and had not made cellphone contact. His last known location was near the Lake Cushman/Mount Skokomish wilderness areas.

The search was suspended about 12:45 PM Wednesday because of dangerous conditions.
