Shelton Police are investigating two separate incidents of an unknown person entering homes during the nighttime hours and watching occupants sleep.

The first incident occurred on April 6, 2017 at about 4:30 AM in the 2300 Block of Laurel Street. The female resident reported that she woke up to find an unknown male inside her home, standing next to her, attempting to take her sock off. The suspect left through an unlocked sliding glass door.

The second incident occurred on April 20, 2017 at about 4:20 AM, in the 1200 Block of W Alder Street. The female resident reported that she woke up to an unknown male standing in the doorway of her bedroom. The suspect left through an unlocked rear door.

In both incidents, the suspect is described as a white male, about 6 feet tall, with short shaggy dark hair. The suspect entered both homes through unlocked doors. As a general safety precaution, the Shelton Police Department encourages all Shelton residents to lock doors and windows.
