A sex offender has recently moved into the Agate area. According to a bulletin from the Mason County Sheriff’s Office, 18-year-old Joshua Ethan Olsson recently changed his living status from transient to a fixed residence in the 1000 block of Agate Loop Road. Olsson is required to register as a sex offender due to a 2017 conviction for one count of Child Molestation 1st Degree in Pierce County. This conviction stems from when Olsson was 14 years old, he sexually assaulted a 4-year-old little girl that he knew. According to self disclosure, when Olsson was 11 years old, he attempted to videotape a 16-year-old girl while she was using the bathroom.
Due to the above incidents, Olsson was considered a moderate risk, but after his released from prison, he has contacted up to seven teenage girls, texting/sending them messages regarding sexual relations. With his previous conviction and self disclosure along with this new predatory behavior, the Sheriff’s Office has assessed Olsson as a Level 3 Sex Offender – the highest level – and he is now considered at a high risk to re-offend.
Joshua Ethan Olsson is a white male, 5-foot-10, 172 pounds with blonde hair and hazel eyes.
And again, the Mason County Sheriff’s Office says he is moving back to the 1000 block of Agate Loop Road in Shelton.
