The Port of Shelton Commission was updated on the Shelton Hills project Tuesday. Steve Goins, Vice President of Forward Planning for Hall Equities Group – the company developing the land west of U.S. Highway 101 and south of the Shelton airport, told the Port Commissioners about the work that was done on the site over the summer and that market interest in locating in the Shelton area has increased since the Tractor Supply Company moved to the area. Goins also said they had several retailers interested in being part of the initial retail area planned for the 20-acre area adjacent to the intersection of 101 and Wallace Kneeland Boulevard. Goins discussed the next steps for the project and said they are optimistic work could being in 2018.
