Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will install a new protective surface on West Dayton Airport Road (State Route 102) north of Shelton beginning the week of July 9.
Crews will apply a chip seal – crushed rock embedded into liquid asphalt – on the highway between US 101 and the Washington Corrections Center. Subsequent work activities include sweeping and installation of a protective weatherproofing.
Drivers can expect one-way alternating traffic and reduced speed limits during daylight hours on the following days:
- Tuesday, July 10
- Wednesday, July 11
- Friday, July 13
Drivers are advised to be prepared for delays and drive through the construction zone with caution.
