Eells Hill Transfer Station customers are advised of the MotoAmerica Motorcycle race event at the Ridge Motor Sport Park located off of Eells Hill Road this coming Friday and Saturday, June 24th and 25th. While traffic impacts to the Eells Hill transfer station are not anticipated, there is the possibility of additional congestion.
The Hoodsport, Union or Belfair Drop Box facilities are other good options for disposal and recycling drop off locations.
Mason County Solid Waste Advisory Committee Membership Openings
Mason County is seeking individuals to serve on the Mason County Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC).
The committee reviews and makes recommendations to the Commissioners regarding solid waste and special waste management in Mason County, including disposal rates, disposal options, waste reduction, recycling, household hazardous waste, and composting programs.
The Committee consists of at least nine members and represent a balance of interests including, but not limited to citizens, public interest groups, business, the solid waste industry and local elected public officials. Committee members are appointed for a 3-year term. Participation is voluntary and members meet once a month.
