[VIDEOS] Thursday night, the North Mason Community Voice held a meet and greet with primary election candidates. All candidates were invited with 18 making introductory statements before breaking into smaller groups to answer questions from those in attendance.
There has been a development in the race for Mason County Sheriff. Ryan Spurling now has a write-in challenger: Tyler Elliott. Both spoke Thursday night:
Also speaking were the three running for Mason County Commissioner District 3: Sharon Trask, Mark Carlson and Miguel Gutierrez:
Patti McLean and George Blush are facing off for Mason County Assessor:
Steve Duenkel is challenging Paddy McGuire for Mason County Auditor:
McGuire was unable to attend the Voice’s event.
Sharon Fogo is being challenged by Charles Rhoades for Mason County Clerk:
Rhoades was unable to attend.
Running unopposed for re-election are George Steele for Mason County District Court Judge, Jaime Taylor for Mason County Coroner, Mike Dorcy for Mason County Prosecutor, and Lisa Frazier for Mason County Treasurer:
Three of the four running for 35th Legislative District State Representative Position 2 were in Belfair: Patti Case, Sandy Kaiser and Travis Couture:
The fourth candidate, Tiffany Seruk, did not attend.

Primary Election ballots have been mailed to registered voters and they need to be returned no later than 8 PM August 2, 2022. The top two candidates will advance to November’s General Election.
