The Washington State Patrol is investigating a hit and run collision on Highway 106 near Trails End Road Monday afternoon.

A press memo says the two cars involved were eastbound on State Route 106 about 1:30 PM. One of the cars was traveling at a high rate of speed, failed to yield to slower traffic and struck the other car in the eastbound lane near milepost 18.
The speeding car (or suspect vehicle) left the scene of the crash and continued eastbound. The car struck (the victim) followed the suspect vehicle before stopping at the Sunset Deli to talk with law enforcement. The driver in the suspect vehicle drove to the registered owner’s address where he was contacted by law enforcement.
A passenger in the victim vehicle, a 54-year-old Belfair woman, was injured and transported to St. Michaels in Bremerton. The driver of the victim, a 46-year-old Belfair man, was not injured.
The driver of the suspect vehicle, a 39-year-old Belfair man, was also not injured but could face charges pending the outcome of the investigation.
