The improvements at Latimer’s Landing Boat Launch and Day Use Park are almost complete. According to John Keates, Director of Parks, Trails and Facilities for Mason County, the new expanded parking lot next to the Harstine Island Bridge will open soon. Keates thanks the Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) for a Boating Facilities Grant to buy the property needed to expand the park and to complet the work. He also thanked the design and engineering work done by Robert Droll of ASLA from Lacey; and the contractor, Seton Construction from Pt Townsend.
