A dozen organizations are coming together Tuesday for a Fire Prevention and Community Awareness event at the Shelton Civic Center. This free event begins at 4 PM.

Come learn about ‘Ready, Set, Go’ evacuation preparedness, being wildfire ready, when to dial 911 and when to dial non-emergency, best practices for citizens to be involved and when to stay clear, and get signed up for Code RED, Mason County’s Emergency Notification System and more.

Organized by the Economic Development Council of Mason County with support from Green Diamond Resource Company, Central Mason Fire & EMS, Sierra Pacific Industries, Mason County Sheriff’s Office, City of Shelton, Washington Department of Natural Resources, South Mason Fire & Rescue, MACECOM, West Mason Fire, and North Mason Regional Fire Authority, the event will be moderated by Jeff Slakey from KMAS Radio and streamed live by MasonWebTV Powered by HCC.
