Wins for NM Softball & Baseball, MMK Baseball
The North Mason fastpitch softball team blanked Vashon Island twice Saturday. The Bulldogs won 22 to 0 in the first game and 19 to 0 in the second.
In the first game, NM held VI to one hit while pounding out 15 with Jenna Markuson going 4 for 4 at the plate with four RBI. Shyann Imlay also batted in four runs. Mikayla Minnis had three RBI. And Sydnnie Imlay batted in two runs.
In the second game, Aubrey Dunham led the way at the plate and in the pitching circle. The freshman was 4 for 4 at the plate and batted in five runs while pitching four innings, allowing two hits and striking out 10. Sydnnie Imlay, Jenna Markuson, and Adrianna Crowley had three RBI each. And Kennady Carson and Shyann Imlay batted in two runs each.
North Mason improved to 4-and-1 on the season. They play at Bainbridge Monday.
The North Mason baseball team took two from Vashon Island Saturday: 5 to 0 and 6 to 2.
In the first game, the Bulldogs’ Boston Stanley and Danner Jones combined for a no hitter. Chris Arbogast batted in two runs for NM.
In the second game, Carson Morris led North Mason with two RBI. The Bulldogs held the Pirates to two runs on two hits.
NM improved to 6-and-4 on the season. The boys from Belfair host Kingston Tuesday.
On Friday, the Mary M. Knight baseball team picked up its first win of the season, beating Wishkah Valley 22 to 7. Specific details on the game were not available. The Owls travel to Hoquiam Monday.
