A Flood Warning is in effect for the Skokomish River through at least Friday evening.
According to forecasters, the river will rise to 17.3 feet early this (Thursday) morning before briefly falling. It will then rise to 17.4 feet late this evening and fall below flood stage on Friday afternoon.
Flood stage is 16.5 feet. At 16.5 feet, the Skokomish River will cause widespread flooding of pasture lands, with water flowing quickly over West Bourgault Road and Skokomish Valley Road.
