A High Wind Watch has been issued for Wednesday. Forecaster have the High Wind Watch in effect “from Wednesday morning through Wednesday evening.”
East to northeast winds of 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph will suddenly shift to southerly Wednesday afternoon with wind speeds of 25 to 35 mph and gusts of 50 to 60 mph possible.
This High Wind Watch includes the southern half of Mason County (from Hood Canal south) and the Puget Sound region.
Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
Fasten loose objects or shelter objects in a safe location prior to the onset of winds.
