MMK Girls’ Hoops Lose 1st Game in District; NM Hoops Get Postseason Opponents; SHS Waiting for Opponents
The Mary M. Knight girls’ basketball team opened play in the 2025 District 4 1B Girls Basketball Tournament Tuesday falling to Pe Ell in the first round 60 to 20. The Owls were led in the loss by 8th grader Peyton Gonzales and junior Bella Buck with 7 points each. Gonzales scored MMK’s first five points while Buck had Mary M. Knight’s last five points. The Owls now drop into the consolation bracket play Oakville Thursday at Raymond High School. Tip off is 6 PM.
The North Mason basketball teams have there opponents for the first round of the 2026 District 3 Basketball Tournaments. Both Bulldog teams play Saturday in loser-out games. The boys from Belfair received an 11th seed and play at Sequim at 1 PM. The NM girls are seeded 10th and play at Clover Park at 3 PM.
The Shelton basketball teams are still waiting to see who they will play Monday in the Play-In game for the 2026 District 4 3A Basketball tournaments. We do now game start times. Game time for the Lady Highclimbers is 3:30 PM at the number four team from the Greater St. Helens League (either Prairie or Heritage). The ‘Climber boys’ game will tipoff at 6 PM also against GSHL#4, which is Kelso.
