District Hoops Win for SHS Girls; District Hoops Loss for SHS Boys
The Shelton girls’ basketball team beat Heritage Monday 44 to 27 in the play-in game for the 2026 District 4 3A Girls’ Basketball Tournament.

The Highclimbers held the Timberwolves to four points in the second quarter and took control of the game in the third quarter and building a 21-point lead in the fourth.
Janelle Krise led Shelton with 17 points, 11 rebounds and 3 steals. Olivia Swanson and Rosa LeClair-Hernandez each added 8 points.
Heritage was led by Jaila Ellis who 9 points, 3 rebounds and 3 steals in the loss.
The Highclimbers advance to the semifinals against Evergreen, the number one team from the Greater St. Helen’s League. The game will be played in Vancouver at 7 PM Wednesday on MasonWebTV Powered by HCC.
The Shelton boys’ basketball team‘s season came to an end Monday in the play-in game for the 2026 District 4 3A Boys’ Basketball Tournament as the Highclimbers fell at Kelso 65 to 43.

The ‘Climbers couldn’t overcome a slow start, falling behind the Hilanders 40 to 12 at halftime.
Kelso had three players score in double digits: Reece White with 14; Anthony Robinson with 13; and Owen Fraley with 12.
Shelton’s leading scorer was Masyn Gard with 11 points. Sam Parsons and Brayden Phipps had 8 points each.
The Highclimbers finish the season with an 8-and-14 record.
