The Washington State Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run rollover that occurred Sunday morning that left two people injured.
A State Patrol Press Memo says a white 1995 Ford Econoline van was northbound on U.S. Highway 101 about 3:45 AM. At milepost 344, the van left the roadway, struck an embankment and rolled onto the driver’s side, coming to rest in the northbound lane. A car behind the van struck the van’s undercarriage and ended up against the van in the northbound lane.
The occupant or occupants in the van fled the scene before emergency responders could arrive.
The driver of the car, a 57-year-old Shelton man, was injured and transported to St. Peter Hospital in Olympia.
A passenger in the car, a 49-year-old Port Angeles woman, was injured and transported to Mason General Hospital in Shelton.
No other details about the crash have been released. Anyone with information about the van or it’s occupants is asked to contact the Washington State Patrol.
