A single-vehicle hit-and-run crash injured two people Sunday night in Taylor Towne.

According to the Washington State Patrol, a small SUV was southbound on U.S. Highway 101 about 10 PM. At milepost 352, the SUV attempted to turn right onto Lynch Road but failed to negotiate the turn and left the roadway, coming to rest on the northbound shoulder of West Kamliche Lane which is on the westside of 101 in Taylor Towne.

Although not stated in a press memo, the driver of the SUV (a 62-year-old Shelton man who is also listed as “suspect” and his name redacted pending investigation) fled the scene.

Two of the three passengers in the SUV were injured. A 63-year-old Port Orchard woman was transported to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. A 62-year-old Shelton man, refused aid at the scene.
The third person in the vehicle, a 62-year-old Olympia man was not injured.
It is not known whether the driver was injured.

Troopers continue to investigate.
