Weather impacted schools, sports and other organizations. Here is the latest information as of 11:45 AM 3/13/26:
All Mason County offices will close today at 1:30 p.m. due to inclement weather.
Shelton School District: Scheduled 3-hour early release.
North Mason School District: Due to current snow conditions, we are making the following changes:
West Sound Tech transportation is canceled for today. No afternoon Developmental Preschool. Morning Developmental Preschool students will still be transported home on normal routes. All after?school activities are canceled. Afternoon buses will run on snow routes.
Pioneer School District: Due to worsening weather and road conditions, Pioneer Schools will be dismissing students at 1:00 PM today. Please drive carefully. Buses will be running regular routes.
Hood Canal School District: Closed due to power. Students were early to families for pick-up due to power outage. Power was restored at 10:50AM. Due to continued snowfall, we are asking families who are able to please pick up their students for the remainder of the day. Students will remain safe and supervised at school. We may contact families to arrange early bus drop-offs if someone is home. There will be no activity bus tonight.
Grapeview School District: Closed. Due to continued snow and road conditions we have canceled school.
Olympic College: Shelton Campus is closed for the remainder of the day due to snow and ice. All classes/activities are canceled.
Skokomish Tribe: Closed. Due to Inclement weather and power outages
