A two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 101 just north of Ryan-Fredson Road Friday morning injured a Shelton woman.
The Washington State Patrol says the woman was driving a sedan in the left lane of northbound on 101 about 11:45 AM. In the right lane next to the sedan was a “utility truck”. Just north of the Ryan-Fredson Road intersection, the woman lost control of her cars, struck the truck, and then the cable barrier, coming to rest on the left shoulder. The truck stopped on the right shoulder.
The 35-year-old Shelton woman driving the sedan was injured and transported to St. Peter Hospital in Olympia.
The driver of the truck, a 44-year-old Mossyrock man, was not injured.
A press memo says the cause of the crash was “speeds too fast for conditions” and the Shelton woman was cited.
