Wins for NM Softball & Baseball
The North Mason fastpitch softball team held East Jefferson to one hit on the way to a 15 to 0 win in five innings on Saturday. The Bulldogs’ Fiona Youngberg pitched three innings striking out eight and Taylor Madison pitched two innings, allowing the hit and striking out two. Madison was 3 for 3 at the plate hitting a double and batting in three runs. Addyson Roy, Snydnnie Imlay, Zoey Holdorf, and Cady Butler had two RBI each. And Youngberg, Kaylani Ivie, and Kennady Carson batted in a run each. NM is now 3-and-2 on the season. The girls from Belfair return to Olympic League play on Monday when they host Bremerton.
The North Mason baseball team held East Jefferson to one hit and won 2 to 0 on Saturday. The Bulldogs scored a run in the fourth inning and a run in the fifth. Reid Shumaker hit a double and drove in one run. Kingston Serebryakov batted in the other run. Danner Jones was 2 for 3 at the plate and hit a double. Calvin Rice also hit a double. On the mound, NM’s Nathan Shumaker went five and two-thirds innings, allowing the one hit while striking out seven and walking one. Reid Shumaker pitch the rest of the game striking out four. North Mason now has a 3-and-2 record. The Bulldogs play at North Kitsap on Monday.
