The Shelton Arts Commission is pleased to donate $2,802 to The Saint’s Pantry Food Bank from donations made by participants at the 21st annual Empty Bowls project.
Participating in this year’s event included local restaurants and catering companies Olympic Bakery & Deli, Kern’s Kitchen, Wild & Woodsy Catering, High Steel Beer Co., Taylor Shellfish, CJ’s Corner, and FROM YOLA. These establishments generously donated soup and bread for participants to enjoy.
Empty Bowls would not be possible without the support of Glenhelen Studios and Nicole Frazier from Graffiti Creative Arts Center, who fired over 300 pieces of art for this year’s event.

The Empty Bowls project is a creative effort to fight hunger where participants create ceramic bowls, building one night and glazing a week later. When the bowls are finished, participants gather to pick up their pieces to keep in exchange for a $10 donation.
All Empty Bowls proceeds support The Saint’s Pantry Food Bank.
