Wins for NM Softball & Baseball; Loss for SHS Softball
The North Mason fastpitch softball team scored four runs in the third inning and held Cascade Christian to two hit on the way to a 5 to 0 win on Monday. The Bulldogs had five hits: Taylor Madison hit a triple and batted in a run. Fiona Youngberg hit a double and had an RBI. Elizabeth Henningsen hit a double. Sydnnie Imlay had a hit and batted in a run. And Addyson Roy had a hit.
Youngberg pitched seven innings, allowing the two hits, four walks and struck out 15.
NM now has 6-and-6 overall record. They host Sequim Tuesday.
The North Mason baseball team held off a late Cascade Christian rally to hold on for an 11 to 10 win. The Bulldogs scored four runs in the second inning and five in the six to take an 11 to 5 lead into the seventh. The Cougars rallied in the top of the final inning with five runs with two out but NM held on. North Mason was led at the plate by Danner Jones who was 3 for 4 with a triple and three RBI. Calvin Rice batted in two runs. And Jaxon Dowding had an RBI. The Bulldogs are now 6-and-5 on the season. NM hosts Bremerton Tuesday.
The Shelton fastpitch softball team lost to W.F. West Monday 4 to 1.

The Highclimbers were held to four hits by Riley Rowland, Kaylee Rix, Emi McFarland (double), and Jonni Gouley. Abby Fauula batted in the ‘Climbers’ only run on a ground out in the third inning which tied the game at 1-1.
The Bearcats took back the lead in the fourth and added two insurance runs in the seventh.
Shelton drops to 8-and-4 on the season, 4-and-3 in the Evergreen Conference. The Highclimbers host Tumwater Wednesday on MasonWebTV Powered by HCC.
