Losses for SHS & NM Baseball, NM Softball; NM Track & Field Results

The North Mason track and field teams competed in a three-team meet at Kingston Thursday. Both Bulldog teams were 2nd in the team scoring.
Top NM Finishers:
Brylie Biehl won the girls’ 400 meters, won the 100-meter hurdles
Natalie Wolf won the girls’ 300-meter hurdles and was 3rd in the 200 meters.
Malia Moss won the girls’ javelin and was 3rd in the discus with a season best 69′ 8″.
Audrey Petersen won the girls’ shot put.
Owen Dukeshier won the boys’ discus, won the javelin, and was 2nd in the shot put.
Cameron Revelez won the boys’ long jump and won the triple jump.
Garret Murphy, Jr. won the boys’ 100 meters with a personal best 12.04a.
Derek Dunham won the boys’ 200 meters with a season best 23.64a, and won the shot put with a PB 44′ 2″.
Christian Roberts-McRae won the boys’ 800 meters.
Melandra Steiger finished 2nd in the girls’ high jump.
Remi McFarlane was 2nd in the boys’ 100 meters.
Jerome Acosta, Jr. took 2nd in the boys’ 110-meter hurdles.
Clayten Butler finished 2nd in the boys’ javelin with person best 134′ 2″ and was 2nd in the long jump with a PB of 18′.
Baylee Jones placed 3rd in the girls’ triple jump.
Grady Porter took 3rd in the boys’ 100 meters.
James Snyder was 3rd in the boys’ 800 meters.
Lucas Smith finished 3rd in the boys’ 1600 meter.
Trey Wright placed 3rd in the boys’ shot put.
North Mason is scheduled to compete in the Eason Hammer and Steeplechase Exhibition Friday and Saturday in Snohomish.


The Shelton baseball team was held to one hit and lost at Tumwater Thursday 3 to 0.
The Thunderbirds’ Luke Overbay pitched a complete game going seven innings, allowing the one hit, walking two while striking out 10.
The Highclimbers’ Daniel Crossan also went the distance and was charged with three runs on seven hits with a walk and five strikeouts. Jacob Jacoby had the ‘Climbers’ hit.
Shelton drops to 9-and-5 on the season, 4-and-5 in the Evergreen Conference. The Highclimbers host Aberdeen Friday on MasonWebTV Powered by HCC.


The North Mason baseball team lost at Bremerton Thursday 7 to 3 despite outhitting the Knights 9 to 7. The Bulldogs scored their runs in the first inning. Caden Atencio scored on a wild pitch and Jaxon Dowding at two-run ground ball to left that brought Danner Jones and Reid Shumaker home. Atencio, Reid Shumaker and Nolan Shumaker had two hits each for NM. North Mason now has a 6-and-7 overall record, 3-and-6 in the Olympic League. The Bulldogs host Bainbridge on Tuesday.


The North Mason fastpitch softball team was held to one hit and lost at Port Angeles Thursday 2 to 1. Addyson Roy hit a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning that scored Kennady Carson for the Bulldogs’ only run. Carson had NM’s only hit to lead off that inning. Roy pitched six innings, allowing two runs on six hits with a walk and seven strikeouts. North Mason is now 6-and-7 on the season, 2-and-5 in the Olympic League. The Bulldogs play at Bremerton on Friday.
