A Utah man was injured after he lost control of his motorcycle in Hoodsport Thursday afternoon.

The Washington State Patrol says the motorcycle was southbound on U.S. Highway 101 just before 3 PM. The rider lost control of the bike at the intersection with State Route 119 (Lake Cushman Road). The motorcycle came to rest in the southbound land of 101.

The 31-year-old man from Saratoga Springs, Utah, was transported to Mason General Hospital in Shelton.

Cause of the crash is under investigation and it is unknown whether drugs or alcohol were involved. However, a press memo says “Citation Issued” in the charges line for the Utah man.
