On July 21, the Shelton City Council passed Resolution No. 1445-0626, which submits a proposition to qualified voters for approval or rejection of a renewal of a sales and use tax at the rate of 0.3% to fund transportation improvements through the City’s Transportation Benefit District (TBD).

The proposition will appear on the November 3 ballot.

The City is looking for individuals who would be interested in serving on either for or against committees on this proposition. Committee members would write “argument for” or “argument against” statements for inclusion in the local voters’ pamphlet.

Interested individuals should contact City Clerk Mary Ricker at [email protected] by 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 3. Committee members must reside within Shelton city limits.
