No new results for Mason County’s Primary Election races. Contrary to previous reports, Mason County Election officials are scheduled to release updated numbers around 4:30 PM Thursday, August 6, 2026. However, there are updated numbers for the 35th Legislative District, 6th Congressional District and State Supreme Court.
For 35th Legislative District State Senator, incumbent Republican Drew MacEwen still leads Democratic challenger Carolina Mejia now 50.66% to 49.22%. That’s 11,469 voting for MacEwen and 11,111 voting for Mejia with 27 write-ins (0.12%).
In the three-candidate race for 35th Legislative District State Representative Position No. 1, incumbent Republican Dan Griffey still leads with 52.78% (11,871 votes), followed by Democrat Jim Pierson’s 28.7% (6,455 votes), and Democrat Shaena Garberich who now has 18.44% (4,148 votes). There are 17 write-ins (0.08%).
Incumbent Republican Travis Couture leads Democrat Maria Littlesun now 52.98% to 46.93% for 35th Legislative District State Representative Position No. 2. That’s 11,903 voting for Couture and 10,545 voting for Littlesun with 21 write-ins.
In the 6th Congressional District U.S. Representative race, incumbent Democrat Emily Randall now has 60.71% . Republican Teresa Fox is still second now with 24.74%. Leon Lawson is third now with 9.09%. Brian P. O’Gorman now has 3.05%. Macy Jones has now garnered 2.35%. And there are now 83 write-ins accounting for 0.06%.
The top two candidates in the Supreme Court Justices races remain the same:
Colleen Melody and Scott Edwards for Positions 1.
David Stevens and Jaime Michelle Hawk for Position 3.
Theo Angelis and Dave Larson for Position 5.
Debra Stephens and Todd Bloom for Position 7.
Election officials will continue to count additional ballots in the coming days. The election will be certified on August 18th.
