Thursday, elections officials in the Mason County Auditor’s Office counted about 150 more ballots from the August 4, 2026 Primary Election. The latest results are just about final as there are about 150 ballot left to count.
The two candidates who will appear on the November 3, 2026 General Election Ballot for Mason County Commissioner District No. 3 are Democrat Miguel Gutierrez and Republican George Blush. Thursday’s numbers show 39.58% (2,145 votes) for Gutierrez and 17.05% (924 votes) for Blush.
The numbers for the others in the race: Daniel Cameron 13.69% (742 votes); Eric Onisko 13.47% (730 votes); Karen (Schade) Sullivan 7.05% (382 votes); Rick Lee 4.78% (258 votes); and Lovejoy Schaefer 4.24% (230 votes).
There are eight write-ins, seven overvotes (some one who voted for more than one candidate), and 97 undervotes (some one who didn’t vote for any of the seven candidates).
The General Election race for Mason County Auditor will see Democrat Tamra “Tam” Ingwaldson face Republican incumbent Steve Duenkel. Thursday’s results show 40.7% (7,962 votes) for Ingwaldson and 37.1% (7,258 votes) for Duenkel.
Others in the race: Republican Monika Balmer 14.6% (2,856 votes) and Vivian Glass (who states no party preference) 7.57% (1,480 votes). There are also seven write-ins (0.04%), five overvotes, and 319 undervotes.
The latest primary numbers in the race for Mason County Clerk show Republican incumbent Charles Rhodes has 49.01% (7,832 votes) and Republican Tammy Clark has 48.36% (7,729 votes). There are 420 write-ins (2.63%), two overvotes, and 3,904 undervotes. Both candidates will appear on the November ballot.
Incumbent Democrat Brittany Pearson has 54% of the vote for Mason County Treasurer while Republican challenger Randy Lewis has 45.9%. The latest primary numbers show Pearson with 10,460 votes and Lewis with 8,891 votes. There are 18 write-ins (0.09%), three overvotes, and 515 undervotes.
No change in the results for fire levies for Central Mason Fire & EMS, Mason County Fire District No. 12 and North Mason Regional Fire Authority. All passing.
The General Election matchup for 35th Legislative District races have been set.
Incumbent Republican Drew MacEwen will face Democratic challenger Carolina Mejia for State Senator.
Incumbent Republican Dan Griffey will face Democrat Jim Pierson for State Representative Position No. 1.
Incumbent Republican Travis Couture takes on Democrat Maria Littlesun State Representative Position No. 2.
The two candidates for 6th Congressional District U.S. Representative in November will be incumbent Democrat Emily Randall and Republican Teresa Fox. The latest Primary Election numbers show Randall getting 58.79% of the vote while Fox received 25.54%.
So far, Mason County Elections Officials have counted 19,887 ballots from the primary election. There are 48,581 registered voters in Mason County. Turnout at this time is 40.94%. Next update is expected at 5:30 PM Friday, August 14, 2026. The Election will be certified on Tuesday, August 18th.
