The City of Shelton is now accepting applications for tourism funding grants, allocated through the City’s lodging tax fund.
Applications and grant criteria are available on our website at sheltonwa.gov/LodgingTax. The grant application period is from Monday, August 17 to Tuesday, September 8 (5:00 p.m.). Completed applications can be turned in electronically to Administrative Support Assistant Giselle Tomich at [email protected].
The City’s Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) will review applications before submitting its recommendations to City Council.
The City collects a 4% tax on lodging within Shelton city limits, which is dedicated to promoting tourism, supporting the operations of tourism-related facilities and activities, and general operations of special events and festivals designed to attract visitors to Shelton.
