Elections officials in the Mason County Auditor’s Office counted 60 ballots from the August 4, 2026 Primary Election on Monday. There were no changes in the top two candidates in the latest results as the election will be certified on Tuesday.
The two candidates who will appear on the November 3, 2026 General Election Ballot for Mason County Commissioner District No. 3 are Democrat Miguel Gutierrez and Republican George Blush. The nearly final numbers show 39.62% (2,152 votes) for Gutierrez and 17.03% (928 votes) for Blush.
The numbers for the others in the race: Daniel Cameron 13.69% (743 votes); Eric Onisko 13.4*% (733 votes); Karen (Schade) Sullivan 7.05% (383 votes); Rick Lee 4.75% (258 votes); and Lovejoy Schaefer 4.23% (230 votes).
There are eight write-ins, seven overvotes (some one who voted for more than one candidate), and 97 undervotes (some one who didn’t vote for any of the seven candidates).
The General Election race for Mason County Auditor will see Democrat Tamra “Tam” Ingwaldson face Republican incumbent Steve Duenkel. Monday’s results show 40.68% (7,982 votes) for Ingwaldson and 37.1% (7,281 votes) for Duenkel.
Others in the race: Republican Monika Balmer 14.59% (2,863 votes) and Vivian Glass (who states no party preference) 7.59% (1,490 votes). There are also seven write-ins (0.04%), five overvotes, and 319 undervotes.
The latest primary numbers in the race for Mason County Clerk show Republican incumbent Charles Rhodes leads Republican Tammy Clark by 103 votes. Rhodes has 49.01% (7,857 votes) and Clark has 48.37% (7,754 votes). There are 420 write-ins (2.62%), two overvotes, and 3,914 undervotes. Both candidates will appear on the November ballot.
Incumbent Democrat Brittany Pearson an eight percent lead Republican challenger Randy Lewis. Pearson has 54% (10,491 votes) and Lewis has 45.91% (8,918 votes). There are 18 write-ins (0.09%), three overvotes, and 517 undervotes.
No change in the results for fire levies for Central Mason Fire & EMS, Mason County Fire District No. 12 and North Mason Regional Fire Authority. All passing.
The General Election matchup for 35th Legislative District races have been set.
Incumbent Republican Drew MacEwen will face Democratic challenger Carolina Mejia for State Senator.
Incumbent Republican Dan Griffey will face Democrat Jim Pierson for State Representative Position No. 1.
Incumbent Republican Travis Couture takes on Democrat Maria Littlesun State Representative Position No. 2.
The two candidates for 6th Congressional District U.S. Representative in November will be incumbent Democrat Emily Randall and Republican Teresa Fox. The latest Primary Election numbers show Randall getting 58.78% of the vote while Fox received 25.54%.
So far, Mason County Elections Officials have counted 19,947 ballots from the primary election. There are 48,581 registered voters in Mason County. Turnout at this time is 41.06%. Again, this election will be certified Tuesday with official results expected by 5:30 PM on August 18th.
