Mason County’s unemployment rate dropped from June to July. According to Washington State Employment Security, the County’s unemployment rate in July was 4.2%, down eight-tenths of a percentage point from June’s revised rate of 5%. July 2026’s 4.2% rate is one percent lower than the revised rate for July 2025 which was 5.2%.
Grays Harbor County had a seven-tenths of a percent drop to 4.4%
Jefferson County went down one percent to 3.4%.
Kitsap County dropped six-tenths to 3.5%.
Thurston County went from 4.1% in June to 3.5% in July.
And Pierce County saw its unemployment rate rise one-tenth of a percent to 5.4%.
