[VIDEO] Hood Canal School District held a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday to celebrate the start of the District expansion project that will include upgrading school facilities, enhance safety, and modernize classroom technology. District Superintendent, Dr. Lance Gibbon, lead the ceremony. Also speaking Tuesday: Edie Reclusado, President of the Hood Canal School Board; Tom Strong, Chairman/CEO of the Skokomish Indian Tribe; and 35th Legislative District State Representative Travis Couture.

Voters approved the Capital Levy to fund these improvements with over 54% approval. Construction is expected to take three years.
