The Shelton volleyball team took Aberdeen to five sets Thursday and won 3 to 2. The Bobcats took the first set 25-21. The Highclimbers won the second set 25-22 and the third set 25-20. Aberdeen forced the fifth set with 25-23 win in set four. Shelton pulled away in the final set, winning 15 to 8. The Highclimbers have a 7-and-7 overall record, 3-and-5 in the Evergreen Conference, tied with Black Hills and W.F. West for 3rd place in the standings. Shelton need to finish 4th or better to qualify for the District 4 Tournament. The Highclimber have two more games in the regular season: at conference-leading Tumwater on Tuesday and at Centralia on Thursday.
The Shelton girls’ soccer team was shutout at Aberdeen Thursday 3 to 0. The Highclimbers, who are 1-and-14 on the season, 1-and-8 in the Evergreen Conference, wrap up the season at home Tuesday against Tumwater.
The North Mason girls’ soccer team lost at Olympic Thursday 3 to 1. The Bulldogs now have a 2-11-and-1 overall record, 1-11-and-1 in Olympic League play. NM wraps up the season on Tuesday against Bainbridge at Phil Pugh Stadium.
The North Mason cross country teams competed in the Olympic League Championships Thursday at 7 Cedars Golf Course in Sequim. Top Bulldog runner was Alisha Carpenter who finished 7th with a personal best time of 20:23.2.

The Mary M. Knight volleyball team wrapped up the season Thursday with a loss at Lake Quinault in three sets: 25-18; 25-20; 25-23. The Owls finish was a 4-and-14 overall record, 1-and-7 in Coastal League play.
