Two people were injured in a single vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 101 north of Shelton Friday afternoon. According to the State Patrol, a 2003 Mazda Tribute was southbound about 12:30 PM. Near the intersection with Highway 102, milepost 342, (Dayton Airport Road), the driver of the Mazda, Tianna M. Nipper, 30 of Ocean Shores, swerved to miss a deer. The Tribute left the roadway to the right, struck the ditch and rolled over. The SUV came to rest facing northbound in the southbound lanes of 101. Nipper was transported by aid car to Mason General Hospital. Her passenger, Sondra D. Nipper, 54 of Shelton, was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
