A sex offender from Idaho is homeless in the Shelton area. The Mason County Sheriff’s Office says 19-year-old Takota James Adams recently became homeless in Mason County and has registered as a “transient/homeless sex offender.” Adams is required to register as a sex offender for a 2008 conviction in Idaho of Lewd Conduct with a Child Under 16 which closely resembles Washington State crimes of Rape of a Child 2nd Degree or Child Molestation 2nd Degree. The conviction stems from Adams at 15 having sexual contact with two boys, ages 13 and 17. The Sheriff’s Office has assessed Takota Adams as a level 1 sex offender but due to his transient/homeless status that assessment has been raised to Level 3 – the highest level – and he is now considered at a high risk to re-offend. Takota James Adams is a white male, 5-foot-9, 184 pounds with blond hair and brown eyes. And again, Takota Adams has registered as a “transient/homeless” sex offender living “within the area of Shelton”.
