NM Wrestler over PT; SHS Wrestlers fall to Yelm; SHS Bowling & Swimming Win
The North Mason wrestling team knocked of Port Townsend 54 to 17 Thursday. The Bulldogs who won by pinning their opponent were Kyler Hockaday, Jon Day, Cole Rinehart, Morgan Grewell, Tyler Grewell, and Chase Davis. The boys from Belfair wrestle in the Hammerhead Invitational Saturday at the Kitsap Pavilion.
The Shelton wrestling team fell to Yelm 61 to 16. The Highclimbers’ Garrick and Garcia posted the only wins by pinning their opponents.
In girls’ bowling, Shelton shut out Foss 7 to 0. Top bowler for the Highclimbers was Danielle Ewart who had a two game total of 355 and a high game of 179.
In boys’ swimming, Shelton beat Foss 111 to 75. The Higclimbers won nine events including the 200 free by Ryder Phelan, the 200 IM and the 100 back stroke by Harrison Macalevy, the 50 free and 100 free by Sean Kealy, and the 100 fly by J.D. Clemons. Shelton’s John Pentony won the Diving competition. And the ‘Climber relay teams was the 200 free relay and the 400 free relay.
