Here is road work scheduled on State Highways that will impact travel in the coming week. This includes paving on Highway 3 through Shelton.
The State Department of Transportation says crews will be installing signs and doing prep work for upcoming paving and ADA improvements on Highway 3 from the intersection with U.S. Highway 101 to east of Front Street. This work will cause short-term, temporary shoulder closures both directions from milepost 0 to mile post 4 between 6 AM and 5 PM all week.
Also, the City of Shelton will have a contractor paving streets in the downtown area from Monday, June 24 to Friday June 28 between 7 AM and 6 PM.
Crews will be installing signs on southbound U.S. Highway 101 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This will cause shoulder closures from Skookum Creek Bridge near Little Creek Casino to Evergreen Parkway west of Olympia. Work hours between milepost 353 and milepost 363 are 7 AM to 4:30 PM.
Road maintenance will cause one-way alternating traffic on U.S. Highway 101 near Lilliwaup Monday through Thursday. Work hours between milepost 324 and milepost 326 are 9 AM to 4:30 PM.
Tree removal is scheduled in three locations on U.S Highway 101. On Tuesday, crews will be working at Sunny Side Drive in the Potlatch area (milepost 337 to milepost 339) causing one-way alternating traffic from 8 AM to 3 PM. On Wednesday, the crew will move to the Wiki Tic Bridge (milepost 318.7) and cause one-way alternating traffic from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. And on Thursday, tree removal will be done near Hamma Hamma Ridge Road (milepost 318.1) causing one-way alternating traffic from 8 AM to 3:30 PM.
And utility work continues on Highway 106 near Dalby Road in Union. This work will cause one-way alternating traffic between milepost 6.7 and milepost 6.9 daily from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.
