Road crews are NOT expected to be able to keep up with snow and icy if the weather comes as predicted. Charlie Butros, Director of Mason County’s Department of Public Works, said during Tuesday morning’s (Jan. 17, 2012) Mason County Commission meeting that their crews are working hard to keep roads clear and safe but with limited available staff and equipment, and past knowledge, it will be a challenge to keep up, especially in periods of heavy snow fall. Butros also recommends that people stay off roads if at all possible. 1-17-12butrosROADS
