A 29-year-old Shelton man was arrested Friday night for robbing and assaulting a 26-year-old man. According to the Shelton Police Department, the victim reported the incident occurred in the 200 block of Arcadia Avenue about 11 PM. The victim told Officers that he was robbed of cash and a cell phone by a subject who had struck him in the head with a metal crowbar. The victim had visible, minor injuries, but refused medical aid. The suspect was identified to be Janus Afo. During the course of the investigation, Officers became aware that Afo was at the Little Creek Casino. Afo was taken into custody at the casino south of Shelton and booked into Mason County Jail on charges of Robbery 1, Felony Harassment, and Assault 2. A news release from Shelton PD says the parties involved in the incident are familiar with each other and it is likely that drugs played a role in the event.
