The City of Shelton has started construction of the Upper Mountain View Pressure Zone Phase 1B Project which will create some traffic problems on Shelton Springs Road between Wallace Kneeland Boulevard and Island Lake drive for the next three months. The City is installing a new 12-inch watermain. The Contractor will working in the shoulder, bike path and sidewalk on the west side of the road and crossing the road in several places. According to a news release, there will be trucks and equipment causing noise and congestion during the project. There will be flaggers or temporary traffic signals staged in various areas from now through June 26th. City officials are asking motorists to be alert and obey all construction signsand flagging personel’s directions. Driving lanes will be very narrow or one-way, and vehicle delays could be twenty minutes or longer. Please plan accordingly and avoid the area whenever possible from 7 AM through 6 PM.
