The Shelton football team opened Narrows League play Friday with a 26 to 6 win over Foss at Mount Tahoma Stadium in Tacoma.
The Highclimbers were led by Willy Ruiz who rushed for 175 yards and two touchdowns (on run of 3 yards and 11 yards).
Shelton quarterback Tyler Giraldes was 6 for 13 for 127 yards passing including a 60-yard TD pass to Kyle Kimball and he ran 9 yards for a touchdown.
The ‘Climbers forced the six Foss turnovers with four interceptions and two fumble recoveries.
Shelton is now 2-and-1 on the season. They host perennial power Lincoln next Friday on MasonWebTV.com and HCC.net

The North Mason football team opened Olympic League play with a 20 to 14 win at Port Angeles. The Bulldogs are now 1-and-2 on the season and return to Phil Pugh Stadium next Friday to take on 0-and-3 Kingston.
The Mary M. Knight football team beat Muckleshoot 40 to 12. The Owls travel to Taholah next Friday.
