A Chehalis man was injured in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 101 in Taylor Town Tuesday morning.
According to a State Patrol collision memo, 27-year-old Caleb L. Simons was southbound on 101 in a 1996 Ford Ranger pick up truck about 10:30 AM. Near the intersection with Lynch Road, 4.5 miles south of Shelton, the truck drifted off the highway into the median and collided with the cable barrier. The pick up continued down the cable barrier, striking separate sections of the guardrail before stopping.
Simons was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The cause of the crash is under investigation but Simons could face Negligent Driving charges.
